Developing the Agriculture with the use of modern technology

Giving back the lost dignity to war heroes……! Presidential candidate of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna Gotabaya Rajapaksha assured, uplifting the farmer community by developing the National Agriculture Economy with use of modern technology.

He gave this assurance at a rally held on Tuesday ( 29) at Ampara.

He further pointed out…..

“During our regime we gave a dignity to Three Forces, Police and Civil Force. The present Government destroyed the dignity of the war heroes who were given the due states by us. The present Government disregarded the National Security. They acted in a manner in which the mentality of the war heroes totally collapsed. War heroes and Intelligence Officers were imprisoned on fake charges. The Easter bombing attack was the result of these actions of the Government.

The present Government cannot discharge the responsibility of the National Security which acts according to the requirements of foreign countries. The National Security can only be assured under our Regime.

The benefits, given and to be given by us to the Security Forces were deprived by this Government. We assure that we will give these benefits to the Security Forces once we come in to power.

Under our Regime we will make arrangements to develop the Agriculture community. We will take action to give compensation for destroyed harvest and writ-off the loans, obtained by farmers for cultivation.

It is of utmost important to protect the food supply of the country by introducing quality seeds and new technologies to the farming community.

We make arrangements to develop every area. Incentives will be granted to develop the business sector. We expect to expand the investment opportunities by introducing a transparent Taxation and to create a conducive environment for business promotion by providing tax reliefs.

We will invest massively for education so that all those who pass the GCE A / L examination will receive university admissions.”

He further stated that as they won the challenge of ending the war, they are committed to win the challenges faced by the country after winning the Election.
